Dogs feel the heat more than we do. Keep fresh water out all day, walk your dog early in the morning or after sunset, and avoid hot roads that can burn their paws.
Watch for heavy panting, drooling or weakness. These can be signs of heatstroke. Move your dog somewhere cool, give small sips of water and call your vet straight away.
