A fever is the body’s way of fighting infection, and most fevers in children settle in two to three days with rest and fluids. Keep your child cool, offer water often and let them rest.
See a doctor if your baby is under three months old, the fever lasts more than three days, or your child is very sleepy, breathing fast, has a rash or will not drink. Trust your instinct; you know your child best.
